sonograms, how many is too many?
This is a question for all of my multiples moms? How many songorams did you have, being that all twins are pretty much considered high-risk? I've started to hear that too many sonograms is not good for the babies and that there could be a link between too many sonograms and the rise in autism. I've already had 5 because we went through fertility and I'm only 13 weeks. How many has everyone else had? And when is it too many? Any advice might help me to sleep!

Re: sonograms, how many is too many?
I am having identical girls in april. My twins are mon-di's (one egg, two amnionic sacs). I pretty much get a sono every 2 weeks since week 16.
I am not worried about side effects.

My twins are identical mono-di's too, like one of the previous posters. I have had sonos every two weeks since the beginning.

I had mono-di's as well and I had a sonogram at 8 weeks, 10 weeks, 12 weeks and then starting at 16 weeks just about every week up until 36 weeks. My boys are 2 1/2 and completely fine!

I also went every two weeks to the docters and they gave me sonograms every time.. You rather them keep up with that to make sure everything is ok, rather than think of some long term effect.. My babies are fine they are 8 months old and very happy and active.. Enjoy your pregnancy......
