In general NO...I will have more b/c of my "issues". Due to my prenatal history I am at risk of preterm labor and gestational diabetes.
I want to say though that most doctors do "check" on the baby some time during the 3rd trimester...
Anyone have a normal pregnancy, with no complications, and had a 3rd trimester sonogram?

Usually none but it is possible to get a growth sonogram usually in the 30s, I went at exactly week 30 but most people seem to go around week 33 - it varies.
I went with the reason that the baby was measuring greater in size than date which turned out not to be the case. They just wanted to check - he was in the 59 percentile.

Well, on thursday i was told that i was having a little  which we are so excited for!!!! However i have read so many posts that say you can never be told too many times - so i guess my question is when is everyone else told??? hope this makes sense!!!

I thought no but last time I was at the doctor's, she said they do another at 28 weeks (I think, I might be confusing it with the glucose test) to see the size and then if everything looks good on that one then no more.

I'll be having one around the 30 week mark and one more before I deliver at 37 weeks for growth measurements

But ask your doctor because I am sure that we all had unique situations that allowed the growth sonos.
For example....my doc knew I was having a hard time finding out the sex so she "miscalculated" the measurement which sent me in for the sono...otherwise my insurance would not have allowed it.

I had one every 4-6 weeks because of my placenta previa, but my doc also does one at 37 weeks to check the baby's position and growth.

I have them every 10 days but thats because the machine is right there in the office and I am high risk. Seems like every doc is different though.

I had one grwoth sono after I was diagnosed with Gestational diabetes. I had a biophysical profile when I was a past my due date.
