I am trying to fig out bottles! OH BOY so many different ones?

I was thinking I wanted to do the playtex drop ins. Any thoughts? Other suggestions? I am pretty open to hear all.
I know there are different nipple flows too now right?

I am trying to do some my registry online since I have been feeling horrible. It is keeping me occupied and not thinking about feeling sick.....

I'm nursing so I don't use bottles often but when I do I use the playtex drop ins and really like them.

Oh no Chrissy, I hope you feel better soon. As for bottles, my recommendation is not to register for any "sets"... just register for single bottles so you can try out a few. DD was breastfed and when we started giving her bottles she refused born free & dr. browns (or avent, I can't remember) but when we tried the playtex drop ins she took right to it! I recommend them, still use them now at 10.5 months) but every baby is different.

I used the playtex drop ins for 4 months. I just got tired of buying the drop ins. I tried and didnt like Tommee Tippee, Playtex Air vent, I'm sure a few more I forgot. I'm using Born Free and I love them. Fit good in a diaper bag, hols up to 9oz, not many parts to clean & put together. DS likes them. GL!

We went from avent to playtex ventair to finally Dr. Browns. My little guy had a lot of gas so Dr. Browns helped with that.

My favorites were Playtex drop ins and Born Free. I agree with the other poster about not opening up the bottle sets. Buy a single bottle first and see how the baby likes it.

I use Born Free and am happy with them.

All of the bottles come with a level 1 nipple and I changed a little after 3 months to level 2 (it was taking DS forever to finish a bottle).

I tried switching to level 3 now that he's 6 months and he's not ready yet.

some babies respond differently to different bottles.


But I found DS was least gassiest on the Playtex VentAire.

I really disliked the bottles with extra vent parts, but VentAire was really worth it for a while and pretty durable. Now that he's got less gass issues, I'm switching to simpler bottles.

The simplest, best bottle I've found are the Avent. They clean well, don't scratch, you can boil to sterilize all the parts, last forever.

I didnt like the drop ins. i dont know..everyone loves them. i found them to be messy and the boxes arent cheap either considering how many bottles DS was using early on.

i use dr. browns and love them. our ped also said they are one of the best to use for gas and reflux..which we had issues with.

I EBF and the Tommee Tippee bottle with the Variable Flow nipple is the only bottle my baby will take.

Well my BF babies preferred any bottle that was wide neck, Dr. Brown's are my favorite and were my DD's favorite, as well as Born Free. My DS preferred Tommy Tippee bottles and Dr. Brown's wide necks, he never liked the Born Free.

We started with the Avent and Playtex drop ins. DS choked too easily with the drop ins. Even with the slowest flow nipple. We also tried Nuk. Then I tried the playtex ventaires one day and DS loved them. He was able to drink from it better. He was having issues with the wide neck bottles. Now at 8 months old, he is using the old fashion Gerber bottles. Only 3 pieces to wash. So much easier then the ventaires. He loves them...

dr. brown's helped so much with gas at the beginning.
Now that DD is 6 months I still use dr. brown's, and occasionally, believe it or not, the cheapo Gerber bottles. I bought them just to have the nipples to use on the RTF 8 oz bottles. I realized that DD loved drinking from them, so why not use those bottles? Ped said it was fine.

I use Dr. Browns. Great for baby, PITA for mom to clean!

I'm BFing but pump and use bottles a few times a week. We've been using the NUK bottles with the BF friendly nipple....so far so good. We registered for Dr. Brown's bottles but haven't used them yet, although I heard that they're good.

We got Avent,Born Free, Dr Browns and Playtex vent air. Quickly discovered that they liked the Dr Browns and the Vent Air...Yeah the ones with the most pieces. I would say try a few and see what your baby likes.

With DD we tried Avent, Dr. Browns and wound up with the playtex drop-ins

With DS we just went right to the drop-ins.
