SOOO frustrated
So i went and got a haircut Sat. I really liked it. I went to a place and person that was highly recommended on here.
Well i asked her a THOUSAND times to show me how to blow it and she kept saying over and over, "blow it the way you did. itll fall into place".
Ofcourse i finally did it myself today (didnt feel well yesterday so never did my hair after i showered) and ofcourse, it looks terrible. It looks flat and boring. Haircuts these days are NOT cheap and i tipped her well too. Im just so fed up.

Re: SOOO frustrated
I just think that no matter what- they blow it out better than you ever can at home. I can NEVER get my hair to look the way they get it to look- no matter how much they try to show me how, etc.
I feel like it's a talent or something!
Keep playing around- I'm sure you'll get it to look good with some more practice. I also find that my hair takes a few days for it to kind of "settle" in after a new cut...

Re: SOOO frustrated
Michelle, could it be the brush she used or the product that was in your hair?

Re: SOOO frustrated
Also - could it be your hair dryer?
I think I am finally going to break down and buy an Elchim (sp?) because I feel like my hair dryer is frying my hair!

I think youre on to something. I have a Hot Tools dryer- nothing special. I think it is def too hot for my hair. One thing the stylist said was to not overdry my hair.

I do plan to go to Ulta later and get a bigger brush. As for products, she only used mousse.

Re: SOOO frustrated
This is the exact reason why I get the same haircut over & over.... Straight blunt cut parted in the middle.
I really can care less if I had the same style for years. For me its low maintenace- thats BIG for me. If I get my hair cut, its only a trim. Layers make my hair look choppy because I can never blow it out the way the stylist does.
One day... ONE DAY I'm going to grow a pair & chop my hair above my shoulders. I have wanted to do this for the longest time. I'm so scissor shy .
Michele- I just wanted to add- Wait about a week or so. I feel that when I do that after a haircut, its a bit more easy to style for some reason.
