SOOOO bored with my lunch options..
I work in the city, so technically I could get anything, but I'm at a loss for what I want. Everywhere has the same crap..
I need to mix it up. Any suggestions??

Re: SOOOO bored with my lunch options..
What places are near you? What part of the city are you in?
Pret has decent sandwich options. Hale and Hearty for Soups and salads. Cosi for sandwiches. There are a few other salad places (like Tossed). Chipotle for when you need comfort food. Do you work near Union Square or Columbus Circle? Go to Whole Foods. If you work near Grand Central, go to the Amish Market or the great food places in Grand Central (Cucina is good too). Rock Center also has Cucina and a "wichcraft, both are great, also a Dean and Deluca. If you tell me your area I can help you out!

Re: SOOOO bored with my lunch options..
I'm just south of Times Square!
I had hale and hearty today.. i don't love soup
I like pret, but i had it so often i'm just sick of it at this point.
I'm not into like pre-made sandwiches.
I'm really not picky, i'm just over EVERYTHING

What are some things that you're tired of? Maybe we can come up with a new way of trying it or a low fat way of something you really like? Do you bring lunches or always buy out?

Re: SOOOO bored with my lunch options..
walk over the 42nd and 9th Ave and walk north for a few blocks (if you have the time). There are tons of local restaurants over there, like some great Thai places that do lunch specials. There is a Lenny's around 9th and 44th, a Chipotle also around 9th and 44th, an Amy's Bread a block or two north of that that does fabulous sandwiches on fresh baked bread... the cupcake cafe is on 9th and a few blocks south of 42nd. I am not sure if this makes sense, because you might work on the east part of Times Square and then it is a longer walk for you.

Re: SOOOO bored with my lunch options..
Good suggestions so far!
These are my go-to places but I am getting sick of them or some are too far to walk in the cold (only like 1 block but I am a wuss):
Food Exchange (for salad) Pax (for salad) Chipotle (LOVE) Dishes (Love soups..pre-made salads good too) Hale and Hearty Sushi take out Pret Pizza (not often) Juniors take out once in a while
I love soup and salad from Olive Garden but that is a bit too far from me but close to you!
I try to bring my lunch like at least 3 times a week but that is boring too :(
