Soooo I'm no longer conflicted.
I called the employer to turn down the job...I was very positive- I said that the opportunity was definitely something I'd like to take advantage of, but I simply couldn't live with the salary offered and [other concerns].
He upped the salary a LOT and made me 100% happy with his other offers, so
I TOOK THE JOB!!!!

I'm all grownupish now 
This calls for hamper celebrations.
