Sooooo frustrating....
My mom and I painted the windows last night over all the brown molding. It looked great, but then when we took the tape off, it peeled a lot of the paint off in the process. I am sooo upset. It looked great up until then. Now I'm going to have to retape the windows on the inside and try to paint what came off. It looks soooo much nicer white though!
Also, my mom had purchased white blinds for the windows, and we ended up having issues with them as well. So now we have to fix them too. It's very disappointing when you don't really think you'd have problems and then stuff like this happen.

We had that problem when painting molding - sometimes you just have to go in with a tiny brush and paint the areas that peeled off. It's so annoying! I feel your frustration!

same here- we just used a small brush and filled in the little spots.
But- i LOVE the white moldings- it makes such a huge differenece, and really brightens up the room!

Re: Sooooo frustrating....
Thanks for the advice!
Ok... I touched up the windows and they're all done. Well at least for now. We had to paint the windows when they were shut so some of the brown will stil show if you open them. It's been over 100 degrees here so there's no way we could keep them open. We'll touch that up in the Spring.
It really looks soooo much better/brighter. I can't wait to paint the color on the walls!!!

Re: Sooooo frustrating....
you can also use a razor blade or box cutter to scrape along the tape edge before you pull it off ... so it is sure not to stick.
