Sore throat for 4 days...what can I take?
It's been on and off, but today it is really bad. Tonsils are sore and swollen. Not really having any other symptoms, but aren't sore throats always the beginning signs of something worse?
I had my flu shot 3 weeks ago, so it's probably just a cold. What can I take or do to prevent the full-on cold from coming?

I had a sore throat for a few days and started taking zyrtec. The next day I was fine. Do you have allergies?

No, I don't. I just called my doc and she said Robitussin or Tylenol. Not sure either of those is going to make it go away. Otherwise, she said come in for a throat culture.
