Does anyone have any tricks to getting rid of soreness in the muscles after working out?

I was working out before New Years, but this week have been making an effort to do more. I did a lot of squats and lunges on Wednesday, and yesterday was in agony!! I could barely walk! Today is a little better, but not much...it is making me not want to work out!

Does anyone know any tricks other than regularly stretching the sore muscles?

TIA!!

Re: Soreness

Vitamin E really helps me. I also just started working out again and I'm sore, but not too painful.

Re: Soreness

I keep working out. at the very least, I walk to just keep my muscles loose. If you get sore and then don't work out, you'll not only be tight longer but will likely get sore when you finally go back. At least that is true for me.

Re: Soreness

Walking is great for soreness. I remember when I first started working out again how sore I was. I walked which helped. I also made sure to stretch well before and after the workout. I also used Icy Hot when the soreness was really bad.

Walking before a workout and streching afterwards usually helps me with soreness
