Re: sorry if dumb question re bottles

I only sterlized them by boiling them in hot water right after I bought them. Now I wash them by hand.

I sterilzed them in boiling water when they were new. Then I did it once in awhile but stopped all together and just hand washed. Some people sterilize after each use but I don't have the patience for that.

I sterilize after each use but if your sterilizer doesn't fit in your microwave, why don't you just boil the parts say every other time or so? Hot soapy water does the trick inbetween sterilizing too. Chat Icon

I use Dr. Browns and throw the little parts in my Munchin Basket in the dishwasher. I just stick the bottles on the prongs in the dishwasher. The heat from the dishwasher should be enough to sterilize them.

I sterilize them in a pot every few weeks. I mostly wash them by hand. I'll throw them in the dishwasher randomly also. The pot is fine.

That's what I do. I used my sterilizer once through 2 babies.
