Sorry if this is a silly question RE: BD everyday during ovulation
I have read over and over again that you should BD every other day during the time leading up to, and during your O time.
Is it bad to BD every single day instead? If so why?

I have read it both ways...I remember my Dr telling me it was ok to BD everyday as long as DH didn't have low sperm count...So far, I am not PG but this is our first month REALLY trying with OPK's & we have been BDing since Sunday

I am no expert either, I'm going on my 2nd month of TTC. My doctor told me to BD every other day, specifically the 12, 14 & 16th CD, and not everyday because the man needs to build up his sperm count again. Now my doctor said this to me without knowing anything about my DH or ever meeting him. So who knows?? I think every doctor has there thing and lets face it, none of this is written in stone. I'm sure their are a lot of exceptions to the rule. In fact my husband and I BD'ed last night (sorry if TMI) and we will tonight again, because we were supposed to on Tues. night and didnt' because I wasn't feeling well. So I felt like I had to make up for that.

My Dr. also told me to BD starting CD11 and then every other day for a week CD18. She said the "rest days" would build up DH's count and that if we did it every day it would lower his count! However, we BD on CD14 and CD15 and got a BFP!!

at first I tried to BD every night but it was to stresful for us so now min is every other night. If "life" doesn't get in the way every night!

My dr. told me every other day. Not because his sperm count would be low but because he sperm wouldn't be mature enough??? I don't know what that means but we tried everyother day once it didn't work(but stopped after day 16.. so maybe we O'd late?), we tried pinpointing O day by CM it didn't work, We tried every day for 5 days the week we O'd.. it didn't work.... SO this month we are trying Every other day from 10 to 20 again.

the little swimmy guys can live in you up to 5 days or so if the conditions are right...so if you bd 5 days before...and a couple of days after...you could have some fertilize the egg.
Since I had just came off of bc, I didn't know when I was O'ing, so I charted, and BD every night for like 2-3 weeks straight...and I wound up with a Triphasic temperature chart showing I was pregnant.

In the world of TMI . . . the month we finally conceived the routine went . . . CD 11 BD, CD 12 BD, CD 13 +OPK no BD, CD 14 BD (included a temp spike to indicate O), CD 15 BD, CD 16 second temp spike to indicate O. Fertility friend moved my O date back and forth between CD 14 & CD 16.
