Sorry if TMI, but I have a ?? for the moms...
I had my c-section 5 weeks ago, and still have heavy bleeding and lots of clotting. I called my Dr yesterday (I'm not so concerned about the bleeding, more about the clotting) and the first thing she asked is if I've been doing too much...Ummmm, yes, I absolutely have. So she tells me I need to take it easy and put my feet up for at least an hour whenever the clotting happens (my feet would be up all day)...
My question is, has anyone had this happen, and since taking it easy is not much of an option right now...what happens if it doesn't stop??

i didn't have a c-section but have been dealing with heavy bleeding/clotting since about April due to adverse effects of the depo shot.
Now granted my life can't be even a third as stressful as yours but will say that nothing terrible has happened except that I have become anemic which make me very tired/lethargic all the time which basically makes trying to lead a hectic life even that much harder. You wear out a lot faster.
Hopefully for you it is a matter of time before you stop bleeding. Its normal to bleed post-partum and i'm sure your stress level could contribute to the prolonged aspect.

I don't want to tell u to do the wring thing--if your doctor said put your feet up then do it, that being said I didn't/ the shower and bedrooms were upstairs. How do u not shower when bleeding like a pig? Ii carried both twins together up and down and carried 25 lb laundry containers. that being said, I didnt saw I was smart.

I bled for about 6 and a half weeks then I got my period like a week later. I was already anemic before that even happened. I was so pale and I felt awful.

I bled for 8 weeks with heavy clots. My dr put me on med to help contract my uterus but that didnt work and I ended up needing a d&c. For some reason my body wasnt passing what it was supposed to be. For me the bleeding was extremely heavy and one night I hemorrhaged.
I would defininately go to your dr to get it checked out. You have nothing to lose.
