Sorry to borther u here (Repost from PG)

I have a question were u feet badly swollen and did the doctor do anything about it.

My blood pressure was high he said. But did see anything in my Pee.

But since I went to the doctors on Tuesday the been getting worse. I been putting them up with like 5 pillows and still nothing even at night I put them up I wake up with them still swollen.

Do u think I should ask the doctor to check me to preclemsia or no.

if you start seeing black spots then yes your dr. should be concerned.. i'm surprised he does not want to watch you closer being your blood pressure is high.. drink plenty of water and elevate the feet. Chat Icon

Mine were and I didnt have a problem BUT they were even worse...10xs worse after I gave birth. I couldnt wear shoes at then end or after she was born. Try using flip flops for now. You said he didnt see anything in your urine right? I would definteily say you are coming to the end shortly.

Re: Sorry to borther u here (Repost from PG)

Mine were SOOO BAD!!
I had to buy new shoes and even wound up wearing flip-flops in the winter cause nothing else fit.
I bought the diabetic socks (which maybe helped like 25% of it.
It was still bad for me after birth.
I got tested for PE, but i didn't have anything.
Stay away from salty and sugary foods & drink TONS of water! That was the only thing that helped Chat Icon

I couldn't even walk towards the end I was so swollen. I could barely bend my legs, too. It was TERRIBLE. And I was seeing spots, but my blood pressure was fine. I ended up having a C section at 38 weeks.

I would go asap! That same thing happend to me and they found nothing in my pee. My Dr didn't like to take chances so he sent me home on bed rest and wanted me back in his office the next morning, well I was still swollen the next day (badly swollen couldn't even wear flip flops) Julia was delivered by c-section the next day, I had preclampcia! She was 2 weeks early.

I would call in the am and see if they can see you monday instead. I just delivered my DS at 36 1/2 weeks because of preeclampsia. Preeclampsia can show itself different in everybody. I had almost no swelling but my BP was high and I had a lot of protein in my urine. Also, there is bloodwork they can do to check your liver enzymes and some other things. You can never be too safe, especially because preeclampsia can progress really quickly.

Re: Sorry to borther u here (Repost from PG)

Call the doctor in the morning and explain to them what is going on with you. Do you have any other symptoms like headaches, blurry vision or seeing black spots or epigastric pain? Aside from checking protein in your urine there are blood tests to test for pre-eclampsia so you can have the doctor run those tests.

Also wanted to add if you are having severe epigastric pain get to the hospital ASAP (this is a late and potentially dangerous symptom of pre-eclampsia)

Same thing happened to me...right at this time too....they will check your urine and if thats clear and you BP is OK then your not pre ecclamptic but could develop it...keep feet elevated and drink so much water you feel like your insides might drownChat Icon

It will be over soon

Mine were terrible from 4 months on. I showed the DR. every time I went and I was surprised that they just said to keep them up. But you should get it checked out.
