DH and his mom went through a lot of tough times together after his Dad died. he didn't want any sappy teary eyed songs, so they danced to "stand by me"

Josh Groban-You Raise Me Up... for about a minute. Then the DJ stopped it and mixed it into a salsa-y upbeat spanish dance song and DH and his mom put on an amazing show (not rehearsed at all)! People are STILL talking about it, it was great.

We did the Beatles, but Hey Jude b/c my MIL's name is Jude...and they aren't that close so some mushy song wouldn't have worked
ETA: I love In My Life too, it was my parents wedding song, so we played it for them to dance to. Also Blackbird....
