SOrry X Post....Ocean City, MD
Who has been here?
We are hoping to go in the summer to visit a friend. We would like to stay in a hotel..it does not need to be extravagent, just a clean one would be great
Any recommendations?
We are trying to plan the summer thing now...
Thanks

Re: SOrry X Post....Ocean City, MD
We went 2 summers ago with another couple - we rented a house right on the beach for a week. It was the best vacation ever!
There's always something to do - the beach during the day - the boardwalk at night. -Iit rained one of the days we were there and we took a drive to the outlets that were about a half hour away.
As far as price, I think we paid $1200 for the entire week rental, which I didn't think was that bad. The house came with a grill, so we grilled almost every night!
If you have any questions, ask away!

I went two summers ago and stayed at the Dunes Manor Hotel. It was one of the nicest hotels on the strip. I would also reccomened the Howard Johnson, and the Holiday Inn. Alot of the other hotels where pretty trashy looking.
You will love Ocean City, the beach is so beautiful and clean. The boardwalk has alot of different stores and restaurants. At the end of the boardwalk they have amusement rides, with some old rides from the 50s.

We went a about 6 years ago. My uncle used to own one of the condos there so that is where we stayed. You guys should definitely check out Seacrets

Can't recommend exact hotels as we always rent condos, but try to stay further north (i.e. higher street numbers) and on the Ocean side rather than the bay. They have a lot of winter packages advertised now, you should be able to find a great deal and make sure to go to Fagers island for sunset dinner.

Renting a house or condo would probably be your best bet, but I stayed once at a hotel called the Admiral which was pretty nice.

I've been twice with girlfriends, last year they knocked down the hotel we used to stay at to renovate. It was right on the beach, which I would recommend. Definitely check out Party Block and Seacrets!!!!!!
