Sort of an off-topic question -
But also related to IF.
Can two people be totally unable to have children with each other, but be able to with other people?
What makes me ask this is Nicole Kidman.
She and Tom Cruise couldn't have children when they were both in their 20's. But now they are both in their 40's and able to have biological children with other people.
Were they just so incompatable with each other?

Nobody except Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman (and their doctors) know what the real issues were. Could be many factors. Perhaps the issue was the only way Nicole could become pregnant was through IVF, and Tom didn't want to due to his beliefs (I'm totally guessing here btw). Maybe that's how Nicole got pregnant now, by IVF.

I don't know anything about Tom and Nicole... But I did ask this same question to my RE when I first went there.. she said "absolutely".. There are so many factors that go into conceiving a baby, and she said there could be incapable factors, in the CM, in the blood in just the chemistry of both people. She said they have many advanced test for these type of things but that wasn't necessary to do because most people just go to IVF and bypass what the problem really is and these tests are normally never done.

This is also what I heard but heard more than two. Maybe there is better technology out there now
