Sort of family related- has anyone...
gotten something unique to commemorate the birth of their child that they can share with me? I want something to memorialize Ellie's birth that I can have as a reminder and I'd like to ask hubby for that as my gift, but I haven't seen anything I love. I'm thinking of some sort of a charm/pendant with her initial or DOB, but I don't want a ghetto gold Sex in the City name plate that I'm seeing at all the stores. I'd like something classier or at least a little more with the times. I saw racheeeee's post and those were cool but I still haven't seen the one. Unfortunately DH is not very good with shopping or picking jewelery so if I want something I've got to find it and tell him where to go and get it. Thanks ladies!

We got a Vermont Teddy Bear for each each of our DC. It has their name and DOB. Right now, they're on a high shelf, so they can't damage them. They have plenty of cheaper bears to play with.

I have a charm bracelet with a little bootie on it that has her birth stone. DH got it for me for Christmas and I haven't taken it off since.
I love the stuff that both of these websites have!

I got a white gold circle of life (nice and heavy) with a single 1/4 ct. diamond in it (DD's birthstone). I LOVE IT!!

Do you live in a house that you plan to stay in? My mom had a tree planted in the yard the year my brother was born.....
It's now an overgrown mess, of course, so is my brother...
