So...tell me all the things you're doing RIGHT as a parent!
Lately, I've been getting down on myself, feeling like I'm a bad parent, so I wanted to start a post for everyone to say what you think you're doing well and right as a parent. I need a pick-me-up right now!
For me, I think I've done right by: -Giving Ava lots of different foods, even spicy ones because she's a great eater. -Talking Ava through her tantrums calmly because she hardly ever has them anymore. -Not yelling at Ava when she frustrates me, even though I want to sometimes! -Sticking to timeouts and telling her no, even if I know it means she's going to be cranky.
Add yours!

* to be polite and have manners.
* following through on things, standing by committments, and keeping promises.
* how to be a good friend and not talk about other people.
* some how I have raised them all to not be shy and to be outgoing (I dont know what Im doing exactly but I think it has something to do with the fact that I was painfully shy as a child and I dont want them to be like that).
* to be self sufficient.

- let her have the freedom to explore - talk to her directly when talking - love her unconditionally - Encourage her "independence"

This is fun and a good self-esteem builder for us doubting moms
-still breastfeeding DD at 16 months. -hug her and kiss her and tell her I love her every day. -let her play with her food as a form of exploration. -encourage her independence -comfort her when she needs me -DON'T give her everything she wants -expose her to different textures,foods, sounds, and experiences. -show her how much I love her Daddy and her grandparents (I think it is important for her to see my love towards others, not just toward her)

The thing is Rachel, you have to adopt the attitude that EVERYTHING you do for your child is right.
Thats how I feel...
