Source mall Gymboree
How is it? I called and scheduled my free class, and wanted to know how the people are. Are they super pushy about signing up? And does the place seem nice?
Thanks

Re: Source mall Gymboree
It is a very nice, clean facility. The teachers are great and enthusiastic. We take 2 classes there and are very happy.
They are just a little pushy with signing up. Not a hard sell, but they push it a little bit. I was skeptical, but after our free class signed up.
If you take a class you are eligible to go to play gym (like an open play time) and a Connections group (a mini class for very young babies)
Hope you and your baby have fun at it

Re: Source mall Gymboree
They are definitely not pushy. It's the same management and staff as the Broadway Mall facility.
I'll be honest though, there are several layout-type issues about the new facility I DO NOT LIKE at all. The Bway Mall was really better IMO.

I agree....But I gues sthey cannot control that.
They said Friday, Summer Schedule would be coming out in about a week.
If you buy one class for summer, you get one free.

Re: Source mall Gymboree
To elaborate on the layout--
The biggest issue I have is the flooring-- outside of the cushy mats in the center, there is a significant amount of surface area in the gym room that is nothing but hard tiled floor. Every single time I have been there I see a kid take a rough fall and end up sobbing. There has got to be a way to make that room safer.
Also, there is a hard wood bench lining the wall of one side of the gym room. Twice now I saw a kid skid (on the hard tile floor) and smack their face/head right on the edge of that bench. What were they thinking?
The other thing that is less important but still not great is the lobby area. That U-shaped seating is so silly-- one mom will park her stroller right in the middle of the U, thus blocking anyone else from using it. So everyone else parks their strollers kind of haphazardly all over the lobby, and people literally have to wait for others to leave to get their strollers out because they are totally blocked in!!! Also, those puzzles and stuff they put in the lobby for the kids are a mixed blessing. I know my DS is obsessed with them and cries when it's time to go into the gym room because he wants to keep playing w/ them! (it sounds so crazy but its true!). Also the kiddos inevitably fight over them, but that's just typical, nothing Gymboree can do about that... even if they had 20 puzzles there would always be 2 kids wanting the same one, lol.
