South Shore restaurant recommendations for a small Christening
Anyone have any recs for a restaurant on the South Shore (Nassau) where I can have a small dinner after my DS' christening? We live in Baldwin Harbor and the baptism is at St.Agnes Cathedral in RVC.
It's only like 12 people so I don't need a private room or anything. Just somewhere nice where we'll get good service and yummy food and will be able to celebrate such a special day.
TIA!

I'm baptizing at St Agnes too and doing it at Kaseys because we needed the private room. I also considered George Martin and Frank's steaks but again thats bc of the private rooms. What about Dodici?

I love Alias Smith & Jones.
It's a steak house in oceanside. Yummy food.
I had my rehearsal dinner there, they gave us a back dining room to ourselves. We might have had 20 people.

Any of the George Martin's. I'm the biggest fan of the one on Sunrise in Merrick.

Sole in Oceanside is my favorite
If you want to stay in RVC I second George Martin or Dodici.
What type of food do you want?

Matteo's in Bellmore is really nice -- and they have a private room in the back as well

George Martin in RVC Brasserie Persil in Oceanside Sole in Oceanside The Fishery in East Rockaway
BUT if your baptism is at the time my kids' were at St. Agnes, restaurants might not be open for dinner yet. Ours ended around 3:15.

There is a great little restaurant right nearby the cathedral called Blue Moon. I used to take the LIRR to and from RVC, and often stopped there on my way home to get takeout.
Really great food!

I recommend Fisherman's Catch in Pt. Lookout. Great place especially this time of year!
