Spam mail being sent to others from my gmail account... what do I do??

Spam mail being sent to others from my gmail account... what do I do??
I guess my gmail account got hacked or something, but a whole bunch of spam mail went out looking like it was from my email address. I just changed my password, but is that all I need to do?

Same thing happened to me last month. I changed my password and was fine after that.

also check your email options. if you had an alternate email account set up, make sure its still there. and change your "secret questions". once someone has access to your account they can make changes that can get them access again.

This just happened to my yahoo account. I was sending people spam email about drugs and sex sites  I just changed my password and all seems to be ok now.
