Speakign of dogs in stores
yesterday I was flipping through channels and stopped on Ace of Cakes and saw something that made me gag and completely lose my interest in that show.
They were making a cake for Milkbone brand anniversary party and actually brought a dog into the bakery to serve as a model for the dog on the cake. So, this huge and extremely hairy dog was hanging out in the bakery right around all the pre-made cakes. There is actually a shot if him laying on the floor next to Alice and all the cakes standing behind her...
That was so disgusting! There were definite health code violations on this show before--nobody ever hears a hat, girls have long hair etc but I never really gave it a thought. But that dog laying around the bakery with it's nasty fur all over the palce really took the cake (pun intended!) It was absolutely vomit inducing! And I used to love that show!
I really don't understand how that show can be on air with all the anti-sanitary things going on right in that bakery! I tell ya, my dream of trying one of their cakes is officially no more! EWW!

Re: Speakign of dogs in stores
I think people are paying enough money for those cakes, they should expect them to be made and stored in a sanitary environment.
As a side note, I went to a doctors appt in the city a few months ago, and I see the doorman with this poodle on a leash tied to his desk. While I was waiting for the elevator, I asked him if that was his dog. He said no, this lady brought the dog to the doctors office and they told her that she cannot bring the dog in. This was not a 4 lb dog to fit in a purse or bag either. This dog was at least 25 lbs.
Bring a dog to a doctors office??? Come on now.
