Speaking of AR babies...

Joseph has been on Zantac since he's about 6 weeks old. He's up to 1.25ml 3x/day now and while he never had vomiting or terrible spitting up, it's always been regurgitation (which he choked on as an infant) and terrible burping. It's seems as if it's getting worse now and our dr hasn't offered any other alternative treatments. What other medicines did your child try besides Zantac?

Jacob is on Zantac too the same amount too.. 3x a day. He was on Axid for a while which i believe is the same as zantac just a better flavor. Jacob was also on prevacid for a while too.. it was HORRIBLE.. gave him very bad gas which he did not need more of so i stopped that on my own, didnt care what the DR said. It wasnt helping anyway. That is all he was on.

Miranda was on Zantac, then Prilosec then Prevacid but she has actually not been on anything since about 4 months old. She stopped seeming like she was in pain and since it didn't stop the spitting up we stopped giving it to her on our own. She still spit up constantly until about 7 months old and while we still get spit ups from time to time its much much less. We actually are bold enough to not wear bibs anymore.
Do you think he still needs it? If he's not it pain it or spitting up it probably isn't doing much for him.

Katie is on Zantac..3x a day and the dose is .5ml because she's small. It doesn't seem to do much of anything for her. She still wheezes, coughs, spits up, etc. I'm going to ask my ped about Prilosec or other options. We tried Axid and within about 30 mins of the first dose, she was screaming like a banchee and broke out in a horrible rash all over her chest and arms...just what she needed.
