Speaking of Diaper Bags- Daycare/Sitter Moms
Do you have (or are you getting) 2 different diaper bags? One for your personal use and one to leave with your baby at daycare or the sitter, etc?
I want a nicer, higher end one for myself - but was thinking I should also register for a "cheapy" simpler one- to bring to daycare or the sitter (whichever we decide on).
I don't relish the thought of yet ANOTHER bag- but maybe it would be easier too- one bag always packed for daycare with a second set of things- and one for me to use...
What do you think?

I think you should because licensed daycare's will not allow you to leave items such as diaper creams, Tylenol, or even plastic bags. You might just want a bag to throw extra clothes, diapers, bottles, and food into.

Re: Speaking of Diaper Bags- Daycare/Sitter Moms
When I was using a babysitter, I gave her the free bag I got from the hospital. She bought herself another one.
For my day care my DD has a little back pack that I tote back and forth... I used to use it to keep DD's bottles in but now it just goes back and forth empty most days. They put her blankets and/or clothes in it when they need to be washed, or other paperwork to send home when necessary.
I disagree with the poster that said licensed day cares won't allow you to send diaper creams - that's not true in my case. True for the Tylenol as many places aren't allowed to give medication, but diaper creams are something you're expected to provide for your child.

That's not true. DD has been to 2 licensed daycare's over the past year and both REQUIRED each child to have their own diaper cream if the parents use it on the child. Also, you are allowed to leave Tylenol, they can administer it, you just have to sign a form and in the case of both of the centers I've used, leave it with the director who will administer medications as directed.
To the OP.... I have a tote bag that I use in case I have a bunch of stuff to bring home (i.e. dirty clothes, sheets, etc).
The only thing I bring on a daily basis are DD's bottles for the day. Any food she eats during the day, I bring enough for a couple of weeks and replenish as needed. Diapers/cream/wipes/change of clothes/sheets/sleep sack or blanket, I have a bin with her name on it and leave all that stuff there.

I use a backpack for daycare. I mainly use it to transport her sippy cups and any snacks I pack.
Most ppl use back packs, some use diaper bags. If you get a diaper bag, I wouldn't spend a lot on it - even one of the free ones you get from the hospital or formula companies would be good enough.

You need to supply these items yourself. Mine keeps them in a bin labeled for my DD.

Re: Speaking of Diaper Bags- Daycare/Sitter Moms
I never used a diaper bag for daycare. I got a bottle cooler bag for her bottles. And I would use one of those earth friendly shopping bags to bring her stuff to daycare. When she got a little bigger I bought her a backpack and brought her stuff in that.
