Speaking of perfect houses...here's a link to the house my parents are flipping
I can assure you there are no "half-a*s" spots in this place; it's gorgeous. Dad did all the work himself. He would have finished the basement had his partner (the money guy!) let him. My old kitchen set is there (in the kitchen near fireplace) and is also for sale. They did some staging (it's my parents and my cousin and her DH). If we were looking to stay in Smithtown, well man, I would have wanted us to buy it! OH this weekend....

thanks. lots of interest, no bites. they are pretty flexible, though. there's even a wine fridge installed into the counter. i do like the kitchen, too!

i am thinking of selling and downsizing and if in the area in which i am interested, this house would be perfect (minus the taxes).

i know...smithtown schools. we had taxes like that...hauppauge addy, smith schools.
sometimes there is no rhyme or reason to taxes. i live in northport, house built in 60's as well but with over an acre and an IG pool. taxes are not much higher.

BTW: The taxes in Northport are considerably lower due to the presence of LIPA. My exact same house/plot size one town over... the taxes are over 13K versus 10K.

isn't that moreso for homes in the village?
i am actually in fort salonga, which is smithtown. confusing as zip code is nothport SD is kings park and town is smithtown.
