Speaking of word issues, here's one I CAN'T BELIEVE:
So, I'm an editor; a lot of you are teachers. We know our shi*.
I was at my favorite store, Uncle Giuseppe's recently. You know their slogan?
CATERING AT IT'S BEST.
I seriously was so upset and told DH that when we go shopping tonight I have to tell them...it's on ALL THEIR STUFF.

yes. should be at ITS best. their website is fixed but it's on all their products.

UGH! People are unreal. But, the misuse of "good" as an adverb bothers me more, as in, "He played good". No, no, no people!

They should...
Many places don't. My sister and I had been shopping for a gift in Babies R Us the other day and in the gift wrap section, they had a sign over the cards that read "STATIONARY". This was more than likely a mass-produced sign for all of the Babies R Us stores and who ever made it and allowed it to be on display should be ashamed of themselves.

I'll say that some things are easy to miss. I edit at least 60+ articles a month and thank goodness I have an assistant. Recently someone wrote manner as manor; that's not the version he meant to write and you really need to pay attention to this crap....

It's because people don't know how to use the apostrophe anymore, so they put it all over the damn place.
I once worked for an entertainment law firm and a movie was about to be released with a grammatical error in the title. I mentioned it to my boss and he told me not to fix it. Luckily, it was corrected before the movie came out but I couldn't believe it went through so many stages of production and no one noticed it before me.
