I do seit and EI-- As for looking better on the resume I have been doing it for 6 years now and it didn't make much difference. What made a difference was getting a teaching job in the city!

I would love to do it. I am so tired of being in the classromm. I am hoping that DH will give in to me. I just dont want to give up my pension.
We are thinking aboaut moving to Florida I want to find out about being a SEIT there.

i love SEIT work just because its flexible you get to work one on one with students , dont have to deal with principals and twenty something kids! but the downsides like someone said is creating your own pension, health plan etc...i work for KIDS-Centric in manhattan, they are awesome! they have alot of work in queens, some other great agencies are cooper kids, up wee grow, ny therapy. For those interested in SEIT all you need is a special ed license, for EI you need early childhood sped license and a dept of health approval(they are totally different systems) Who does everyone else work for?

I have both a special education license for B-6, but I would not no how to go about getting a job in the field.

I work for Herbert G. Birch, Bilinguals, and Kidz Therapy. I have worked for TheraCare and Personal Touch too!

I used to contract thru All about Kids and now I contract thru Marion K. Salomon and Assoc. They are great!

i believe most of these agencies service suffolk. i have a 2 page list of agencies. when i find it i will post more.
