Spent a few hrs at the Dr's office last night

I didn't feel right yesterday and Monday...not BAD, just weird.

I was having a lot of low cramping (mostly left side) that didn't subside with water or walking or laying down. It was painful at times - it even woke me from a deep sleep Monday night. DH told me I was crying in my sleep and he got scared!

Since Sat night, I'd also had several episodes of shortness of breath and heart palps while RESTING - not moving at all. It stopped after laying on my side and drinking water.

Add that to the fact that my palms and soles of my feet have been pink and so itchy lately...

AND the fact that I didn't feel the baby move much yesterday....

So I called and they took me in for monitoring last night. They took blood for testing of both pre-eclampsia and bile acids.

I'm contracting, but not in a pattern and not too often. Cervix is long and closed (4.1cm, i believe).

Would you believe that I didn't feel the baby move at all yesterday from 10am-6pm.... then AS SOON AS I GOT ON THE SONO TABLE, he had the hiccups and started kicking me like crazy??? THE LITTLE STINKER!!! Like ha ha, I got you!

is over 4lbs already at 30wks... head, femur, etc are all measuring at 32w1d. He's in the 80th percentile for height, 80th or 90th for weight (i don't remember/didn't see the paper too clearly). It was like looking at a mini-DH but with my mannerisms. Nice long torso, long arms/legs - all up in front of his face again. (explaining my low kicks)

My left side pain can best be explained by the fact that baby is all jammed up on my left side and FINALLY - FINALLY FINALLY FINALLY, for the first time this pregnancy, HEAD DOWN!!!

Mommy is down 1lb from appt 2 weeks ago.

He had me puking for an hour this morning and now he's bouncing all over in there. We had a discussion last night that he's not to trick Mommy anymore because she's the one that feeds him and it's NOT NICE!

Still crampy today, but overall relieved. Waiting for b/w results - should get a call within a week.

I guess I'm just not used to feeling low pressure because baby was never in head-down position before!

I have 2 new sono pics, but haven't scanned them in yet. I was tired by the time I finally got home last night!

eta: Dr also told me to increase my water intake by 50% because of the heat/humidity. I drink about 100oz a day right now, so I guess i'll upping it to 150oz. and I'll certainly be in the potty room a bit more

I am glad you went to the doctor and got everything checked out.

Oh my goodness what a great shot of the baby:) I'm glad that you are OK. I too thought I was in labor and this is my third baby, so you never know. I had terrible contractions and so much pain last night. All in all, they stopped after 4 four hours and I was able to fall asleep. I think there was a foot stuck in ribcage bringing on contractions. I'm only 35 weeks so I want to at least hold out for another 2 weeks.

I am so happy that you are OK, that can be scary and painful.

I wish I knew (with absolute certainty) what was "normal" and what warranted a Dr call... oh well, I guess I'll know for next time. If there IS a next time!

glad to hear all worked out & that it is nothing serious! My DS was not moving much yesterday either but then all of a sudden got a burst around 9pm!

glad you're ok. but if i drank 150 oz of water a day..i would die.

i cant even get regular water down b/c of the reflux..it needs to be flavored.

i dont know how you do it with the barfing and all. someone would have to commit me.
