Spent yesterday in L & D
I have been having really bad back pains for a week. I went to the dr on Friday and he sent me for a few tests on Monday. He thought maybe it was a kidney infection. The pain came and went thru-out the week. Wednesday evening it was so bad I could not sleep. At around 1 am I got the worse migrane/headache I have ever had in my life. It felt like my head was going to explode. The pain was so bad, I couldnt stop vomitting. It was unbearable to the point where DH called the dr.'s answering service. When my dr. called back he told us to get to L&D ASAP. I was so scared at this point. Anyway, after 10 hrs. in L&D, 2 1/2 bags of IV and many many test.....they come to tell me that it is the way my uterus is pushing on my rib cage and is causing muscle spasms. I am so relived it wasnt something bad but the pain is still there and there isnt anything I can do besides take tylenol and apply ice packs. The migrane was just a freak thing probably because I was so upset from the back pain, the lack of sleep and the fact that I didnt eat much on Wednesday because I wasnt feeling well enough.
I am terrified of hospitals and to be honest, the nurses at Good Sam were amazing. They really cared about us. They werent just doing their job, they actually enjoyed it. And my dr. couldnt have been any better, he was really great. And he and Dh told me....I did good for the dress rehearsal, I should be a pro now when I go into labor in Nov.

OMG, that sounds horrible! so glad to hear you're feeling better
i agree that if there's one good thing about having to go to LD, it's that at least you get the anxiety out of the way before the big day!

Oh no! That sounds scary!
I'm glad all is well, though! And hey, its always good to have a dress rehersal with the hospital to know you are in good hands!!!
