Spiderman goodie bag for girls at DS's b-day party?
DS's b-day party is in a month, and we're going with a Spiderman theme at his karate school. DW is trying to finalize some things, and is wondering about goodie bags. The boys will get a variety of Spiderman items (Pen, post-it notes, small action figure, etc). Should we give the girls the same things, or should we get princess themed items for the girls?

Too funny, I was just talking to my DH about this. I'm trying to figure out DS's b-day party on the 9th.... He wants a Thomas the Tank theme, so I told DH everyone was getting the same theme goody bag. DH thought the girls wouldn't like it. Oh well..... I think it will be easier just to do them all the same (for me it is!).

I would do the same bags for both. Kids just love goodie bags and free stuff, they won't care and it ill be easier for you.

Honestly, I would get something different for the girls. I don't know too many girls into spidey. Thomas the tank is different, not really gender specific.

I would only do one goodie bag. Since they are from the theme of DS' birthday party I don't think it should matter.
His theme His favors representing his theme.
Of course, DW could always go out of her way and do girly favors for the girsl but she would need an exact count.

For family/some friends party I'm doing pirates for everyone because I found cute pink pirate stuff for the girls but for the school party the theme is dinosaurs for everyone at the party (I am having it at the LI Science Museum in Riverhead) but I did do a flower theme for the girls favors and dinosuars for the boys.

Exactly. However, I'm not sure I agree with DW going out of her way for other bags. It's your son's party, give goodie bags out that your son would want to give out.

What you are making girls do karate?!? Shouldn't they be getting manicures instead in the next room?
I think the goodie bags represent your son, so you don't need separate ones. And by the way, my daughter would love an action figure of any variety!

I think girls should get the Spidey bags too. All 3 of my nieces love Spiderman.

The girls in his karate class are more into the karate activities than a lot of the boys are! Some of them are going to be forces to be reckoned with when they get older.
