Re: Spin off: How would you share Mega millions winnings with family?
Parents, bro and SIL, In laws, DH's sister would all be taken care of.
I would be generous with cousins, aunts, uncles.
I dont have children or nieces and nephews yet but they would get College funds and be taken care of.
I think it is hard bc I would want to give to some friends also but I think we'd have to cut it off SOMEWHERE lol

Re: Spin off: How would you share Mega millions winnings with family?
my only priority is setting up my neices and nephews with trusts for college. but I'm not sure how to handle one niece who has almost graduated college - maybe set up something that releases just a little each year?
DH wants to buy the land his brother's business is on and give it to him, so I would give an equal amount to my sister.
I would pay for professional packers for my parents, who say the only reason theu don't want to move is b/c they don't want to pack.

Re: Spin off: How would you share Mega millions winnings with family?
If I won mega millions and had that kind of $$, I would absolutely give to everyone in our immediate family (parents, siblings, nephew & niece). I'm thinking a million a piece or so.
And then I'd help whoever else I could.
There's no way I would go crazy with it on myself. I'd buy a moderate house (in terms of being a multi millionaire), travel a bit and stay home with my kids - but I wouldn't go and buy a $50 million house or anything ridiculous like that.

Re: Spin off: How would you share Mega millions winnings with family?
IT would be a blessing b/c I would have a hard time not sharing it with everyone. Actually I think I would get more out of that or as much as for myself. Being able to give that to someone and help them too....Whata great feeling!

Re: Spin off: How would you share Mega millions winnings with family?
I would be very generous with our families. I can't believe I just sat down and did this.....But a girl can dream can't she?
My Children - set up a trust for each that they would only get after they finish college (which we'll pay for) and reach the age of 25.
Parents/Ils - pay off any debts they have and give them a certain amount.
Siblings (4 total) - give each of them nice amount
DH's niece - set up a trust for college and a down payment on a house
Aunts/Uncles (too many to count) - give each much smaller amount
Cousins - something not sure how much, but the younger ones would get money for college.
