Spin Off to going away for 1 year - Are you planning a trip?
DH and I want to go away for our 1 year but haven't decided where. We are going to Italy in 3 weeks so I think I def want something beachy. What are you girls planning?

We are going a cruise!!!! Can not wait. 3 days at sea, 1 day in St. Thomas, 1 day in PR and 1 day in Turks!

That sounds like a really good cruise. We have never been on a cruise before and DH is a little nervous with it but maybe a cruise can be an option for us.

We actually have a wedding in Changsha, China, just a week or so before our first anniversary! So we are also going to Hong Kong as well as Changsha -- quite a trip!

we actually went to Italy in August, so that was kind of our 1 year trip. it was beautiful. you'll love it!
we went to bermuda for our HM and that was wonderful too!

we are going to antigua this january for our honeymoon. i can't wait. our year anniverary we will be staying at East Wind since we didn't use the hotel after our wedding, they gave us a free night. maybe we will crash a wedding. lol.

Not going to happen in Jan for our anniversary b/c DH will have just graduated the academy and be doing his field training. I would love to go on a babymoon before June when the baby comes, but don't want DH to use any of his vacation before then. I want him to be home for as long as possible with the baby and I. So maybe a weekend away somewhere close to us, like williamsburg or virginia beach.

We did 3 weeks in Italy and Paris but it also coincided with another big event so it was really a trip to celebrate both occasions.
ETA: I love cruising and would highly recommend it!

I dont think we'll be going anywhere especially not out of the country! We just bought a house and will not have the extra money to go on another trip on our 1 yr anniversary! Maybe out to Montauk or something for the weekend since we love it out there

Not sure. We got married in the summer bc I had just started a new teaching job, but it's DH's busy season so he won't always be able to take off for long periods. Plus we live in the Hamptons and my parents spend the summer at a beach in Delaware, so we like to be around then. May take to celebrating out 1/2 anniversaries!

We celebrated our 1 yr in St. Maarten. It's one of our favorite islands that we fell in love with while on cruises. It was so nice to spend a week there. I highly recommend it!
