spin-off to private rooms LIJ
Does anyone know how much a private room at LIJ in New Hyde Park goes for? I really want one.

$560 i believe, i had DS in nov and i think that was the price (or maybe it was $620)

I just wanted to tell you that I just gave birth there on December 19th and was in the hospital for 5 nights..I was supposed to be in a room with 3 others and NO ONE EVER JOINED ME..the nurses all joked that i got lucky that I never had to pay for a private room
Maybe this will happen to you too

Sorry to crash... I delivered at LIJ. I believe it was around $600 to $700. I gave birth on the busiest day ever... every room was filled. No private rooms available. I lucked at having one roommate (and I had the window). I know girls who shared a room with three others.
I'm hoping by the time we decide to have #2 the new maternity ward is finished

I got excited too because when you call and are on hold the message says to be completed in spring 2010. The buidling goes on non stop, so maybe, just maybe......
