spin-off to recalled toys..what r u going 2 do
regarding x-mas? I looked online for U.S. toy company and found a "all natural" toy site. Well, nothing really looked interesting at all.
There is a slew of articles on it though.
I am afraid to even buy anything.
I am horrified that I am soooooooo lazy to get a bib and the few times I did I used a vinyl bib and apparently they are bad.
I give up...

We're buying toys by FP, Mattel, etc. You know that now they are going to be all over those toys and making sure they are safe.
Honestly, I feel like the same thing could happen to US made toys. I've posted this before, but US law allows a low level of lead in all toy paint. So if more toys were manufactured here I'm sure the same thing would happen, since IMO a lot of this situation is due to manufacturers putting pressure on their suppliers to keep reducing cost. So they find suppliers of paint, plastic, etc that are cheaper, and then you run into shady QC issues. Again, JMO.

I am honestly not going to worry at all. I will buy what I think he will like and if down the line it is recalled, I will get rid of it.

If you think of it the other way, though... all of the companies that have recalls are obviously testing and checking their products. If a company has no recalls, is it because they have perfect products, or that people just aren't checking that well?
We're not going to stress about it. I am much more aware of recalls now, and check the sites more often, but I'm still going to get what I want and/or what DC want, and just keep an eye out for recalls.....

I agree with everyone above. I can't spend all my time thinking about the hazards that could be out there. I'd go crazy. I face the obvious unavoidable ones that are right in front of her and that's more than enough! If things are recalled we'll get rid of them.
