spin off to the celebrity look alike- do you ever get told...
you look like someone a person already knows?
I get this all the time- People are always telling me I look like so and so
or they ask where I am from b/c I look so familar
I think it's the dark hair and features- which are common in this area
anyone else?

I got that constantly in my early 20's in Sunnyside/Astoria. I don't remember her name anymore but she had tons of friends b/c people came up to me all the time.

Yes, apparently I look like Jessica, I have gotten the name Jessica about 5 times. We look like twins according to these people.

DH get's that CONSTANTLY. Every where we go someone says to him "DO I know you?" or that he looks familiar. Even my clients coming into my office where I have pics of him always say "He looks SO familiar..."

Yes....my sister. So it makes sense that we look alike b/c we're realted.
But we have been mistaken for eachother by random people.
At my bridal shower, my sister was setting up and greeting the guests as they arrived. My DH's relatives thought she was me and couldn't figure out what I was doing there already. (Some of them had met me several times too!)
A coworker of mine saw my sister in the supermarket and was about to talk to her until he realized it wasn't me, just someone who looked like me.
For some odd reason, my sister happened to go into the pizza place by my house, and one of the guys there thought she was me.

to take it a step further- (I forgot about this until now)
I asked Jake to come down and unload my truck a few weekend ago- I have a black SUV
he came down to the front of our building- and opened the back of a black SUV parked in front
and then realized that it wasn't me or my SUV- but a girl who looks JUST like me- and has a SUV - same make, same color- but a few years older - so different body shape
what are the odds of that? I keep looking for her- I want to see my "twin" we probably have alot in common

Well apparently I look like my sister because one time a few years back my DH came over and my sister was sitting at the kitchen table with her back to him. He came over and kissed her on the head - she looked up and was like W T F??? He almost pooped his pants!

OMG! I am sooo afraid of that happening with DH and his brother. My SIL and I can't tell which is which from behind sometimes. Your poor DH was probably horrified!

All the time - at least 3-4 times a week. It used to be annoying - now it's just amusing, and the running joke with my friends and former co-workers. The partner I worked for didn't believe me until one day we were working together on a case and traveling back and forth from different offices, and in that one day, 3 people approached me thinking they knew me.

Haaa...I have to agree. I haven't seen your FH's brother in years (he played baseball with my brother) but I remember them looking so much alike

A lot of people have said I looked familiar, but I live in VA, and have only moved here a couple years ago... so I haven't met too many people. then it's if ihave a sister, which I don't.
