Spin-off with poll: Do you LIKE being pregnant?
I read on the first time preggos thread that a few people don't like being PG. I am definitely one of them. My dear friend though- LOVED every minute of her pregnancy.
Even though I had virtually no morning sickness- I hate all the weird changes (gas, weird pains, weight gain, unable to sleep, gas)
You?

Re: Spin-off with poll: Do you LIKE being pregnant?
since i have had the morning sickness the past 5 months, honestly i dont love per say being pregnant with regards to the physical aspect and constantly feeling sick, but i love knowing there is a little baby inside me turthfully, i told my DH that i wasnt even sure i wanted to have a 2nd after this one (thats how bad its been with the m/s, heartburn, etc) b/c i dont want to go through this again, but i heard once its over, you forget, and i am sure once i hold my 1st baby, i will want another. I told my mom that i think this baby wants to be an only child

Re: Spin-off with poll: Do you LIKE being pregnant?
yes...but ask me on some other days and it's a NO! i like the experience and i have to admit i like the attention people give although only the positive attention and not the unsolicited advice people give out when youre PG! i have been very lucky thus far and have hardly felt PG at all so that's why i say yes most of the time. p.s. i miss running and diet coke so much though!

I didn't choose no, even though I don't like being pregnant, I am THRILLED that we are going to have our son and I cannot WAIT to meet him.
But as for pregnancy itself, it's for the birds!

Re: Spin-off with poll: Do you LIKE being pregnant?
Although I am so freaked out by all of the changes....I am thrilled to be pregnant and loving every minute of it! I don't know why....but I have this happiness inside of me (well, I guess I do know why), and I'm really dreading not being pregnant anymore. I never really liked my body to begin with, so I guess I'm really enjoying a reason to look fat

Re: Spin-off with poll: Do you LIKE being pregnant?
I did not like being PG. Not because of any changes, but b/c I felt like I was on display and as if my belly was an invitation to conversation, esp with work. My work was so demanding that the constant "is it a boy or girl" question from patients was a real detriment ti my productivity.
I always said I didn't get PG for the baby bump, I got PG for the baby, my DS sitting on my belly right now with DH sitting next to me - our family!
I'm curious as to how productive I will be when I go back...

Re: Spin-off with poll: Do you LIKE being pregnant?
I don't like being pregnant at all. The morning sickness early on, the migraines, the tiredness, the aches, the heartbearn, the hypoglycemia that has set in, I could do without it! I said with my first that the delivery was sooooo much easier than the pregnancy. Of course the end result makes it worth while.

I feel the same way. I dont pick out clothes that showcase my belly - nor do I talk about my pregnancy with co-workers, apart from the "how are you feeling?" opening questions. I am thrilled to be pregnant, but I feel like all of a sudden people arent as interested in my professional opinion anymore.

I agree-I enjoyed the delivery more than the 9 months. I feel the same way now-but I am going to complain alot less...

I love being pregnant, and not having to obsess about my body for 9 months. It's like a vacation from dieting!

Re: Spin-off with poll: Do you LIKE being pregnant?
I'm liking the feelings and changes so far. I haven't "popped" yet, but I do feel different, physically. Sometimes, I don't even mind the fatigue, because I always have a good excuse to take a guilt-free nap!

My sentiments exactly!! I love it -- but I haven't had any m/s or other ailments either, and DH takes special care of me now.

I love being pregnant - I feel great! Who knows when the baby is born - but I joke with DH that at this rate of great pregnancy - I would have a dozen!

Re: Spin-off with poll: Do you LIKE being pregnant?
I love it. Even after throwing up daily for 4 months I still wouldnt ever regret it.
It took me too long and cost too much to get here that I could ever complain.
I have been there wanting. I wanted the ms and the aches and pains other people had. It may be hard but I love anything that will bring me my baby.

Re: Spin-off with poll: Do you LIKE being pregnant?
It's truly the greatest gift you can get, considering there are so many people out there who dream of this and are having complications. The end result is by far worth it.. but the journey is amazing and I can not wait to do it again... hopefully with a little less pain once the contractions start!!

Re: Spin-off with poll: Do you LIKE being pregnant?
I LOVE the end result of being preggo but.... I do not like actually being pregnant itself. I've been sick a lot, gained a lot of weight, and a lot of hormones going on that I'm crying or mad or sad at least once everyday over little nothings.... I'm def not happy glowy preggo... hahaha but, this is my second child. you forget I guess?! I just look forward to the light at the end ofthe tunnel!!

Re: Spin-off with poll: Do you LIKE being pregnant?
I havent really enjoyed my pregnancy. Combined with the fact that its been crazy since I was 4 months pregnant at my wedding, I have been suffering from high blood pressure (and on medication for it which makes me exhausted), and I have had so many ob/gyn appts, internal dr, and lab appts. I am ready for the baby to come out so we can enjoy our new addition to the family

Re: Spin-off with poll: Do you LIKE being pregnant?
I have mostly enjoyed it- I had no m/s, and felt generally good, can't even say I really "felt" pregnant for most of it. But now, at 33 weeks, I'm realizing for the first time that I have NO control over what's happening to me, and now I really do "feel" pregnant- odd pains/cramps, my belly's really in the way, it's hard to stand up from sitting, it's hard to get comfy at night, I get tired after 5 minutes of activity. I can tell that my body's very slowly getting ready to have this baby, and it's exciting but also scary. So, in a nutshell, I've mostly liked it and haven't been in a hurry for it to end, till now.

Re: Spin-off with poll: Do you LIKE being pregnant?
Do I love it--not really. I had a rough pregnancy between morning sickness and slipping a disc in my back, than he other night I wound up in the hospial b/c I was having contractions for several hours. I am 31 wks now and am very uncomfortable and cannot believe I have another 6-10wks. My maternity clothes barely fit and work is aggravating me. I wish I could jus stay home and hang out in my pj's all day for the next couple months. But I know the end result is well worth it!!!!

Re: Spin-off with poll: Do you LIKE being pregnant?
I think I've been lucky with this pregnancy, so I have to say, I do like being pregnant... but I've had basically no mornng sickness, and have felt pretty good so far. I also think people are a whole lot nicer to you when you're pregnant! I've never had so many people ask me how I'm feeling before!!
