Re: Spinoff #2: If you had to vote
I'm a Republican and am adamantly against Hilary. With that said, the fear of what Trump will do to this country (and the world) if he is elected overpowers my hatred for Hilary and everything she stands for. It's picking the lesser of two evils and in this case, I believe Hilary can do far less damage to our country in 4 years than Trump can. If it came to this, I would be voting for Hilary ONLY to keep Trump out of office. And I will be praying that in another 4 years we have some REAL, QUALIFIED, SERIOUS candidates. This election is a complete joke and disgrace...and a very scary one at that.

Re: Spinoff #2: If you had to vote
I will vote for ANYONE that is not Trump. He's such an egotistical, arrogant, self absorbed, power hungry pig. I think he would be a complete embarrassment to this country if he were President. Can you imagine that moron sitting in a room with all of the important world leaders sporting his oompa loompa orange glow and spun cotton candy hair while running off at the mouth and insulting every other country??? God help the USA if that fool is elected into office.

I am an extremely big supporter of Bernie. I am honestly not sure if I would vote for Clinton or write in Bernie. Our system is so screwed up and set up to maintain the corrupt political status quo. I think in the end I would do whatever it takes to make sure that obnoxious, racist, sexist moron Trump is not elected. But I'm hoping it doesn't have to come to this.
I too support Bernie and don't believe he's toast yet. I wish the mainstream media would stop acting like the nomination is a done deal. And I wish people who immediately dismiss Bernie as a socialist would actually read about his policies and ideas.
And as much as I would be unhappy to vote for Hillary, if she is the nominee I will vote for her. I do think Sanders could launch a serious third party challenge against her but he won't.
As for Trump, I do not think he has it sewn up either. Mainstream Republicans hate him and I think will pull out every dirty trick there is to keep him out (IMO). And he is such an egomaniac that he would run as a third party candidate (again IMO.)
Oh, I completely agree with you- I do believe Bernie has a real fighting chance. In fact, I am volunteering, donating, making phone calls etc for Bernie, so I certainly do not believe this is a done deal. I also wish the media would stop acting like Hillary is the chosen one. So much of the media is biased towards her. CNN cutting off Bernie's speech when he started to talk about demanding she release the transcripts, just for one example. I think Hillary is a liar and I only hope Bernie is the democratic nominee in November.
And I agree about Trump and the GOP. I think the GOP is starting to freak out that he is winning. I can't imagine how this is going to play out.

This would be the first election that I would NOT be voting 3rd party. I would vote anyone to keep Trump out.
This exactly. I cannot even wrap my head around the fact that this is a real possibility. Who in their right mind is trusting this man in charge of already volatile and delicate international relations? SERIOUSLY. I will vote for any democrat on the ticket just to keep Trump out of office. This is INSANITY.
Agreed.
Furthermore, if Trump is the nominee, this might be the first major election I don't debate politics on here. I am not sure what could possibly be said to someone who supports him.

All of the people who are good at running a large organization (like a country), are running large corporations. They are making millions of dollars a year, have more free time, and unfortunately, have more say in how the government is run than the actual politicians....

Spinoff #2: If you had to vote
IMO, the fact that there are so many people in this country who actually think the same way that Trump does is the scariest part of this whole thing. If Trump wins the presidency and these laws are implemented- there are actually Americans out there who would be ok with it. What?!? Now with that being said, Hilary scares me too. All around, I am scared. I do not think there is one candidate that is capable of turning this country around. But then again, I can't remember the last time this country saw a truly great president. I was born in 1982, I don't think any have existed in my lifetime. They are all the same.

Please third party people, this is not the election to express your equal disdain for both candidates. One is going to do much more damage than the other, just pick who you think will screw up less.
Thank you. This is my 5th presidential election since I have been of voting age. I voted for 3rd party for all but no way that's happening this year. I hated "lesser of the 2 evils" mentality but now we are practically facing evil.

This stuff bothers me. I vote 3rd party because I believe in the candidate. EVERY election is important. MY vote is just as important as yours. Nothing will change until people vote in general. If we want a change then vote for that change. If we always say this election is to important then when does my vote count? WHy would I vote for the candidate that will screw up less when I can vote for the candidate I like?
Vote. Just vote. That's the key. DOn't say it doesn't matter, don't say you don't like anyone so you'll skip it. VOTE. That changes things. As the poll here reflects Trump has a lot of support, but it's secret. I haven't seen 1 person say they were voting for him yet the poll right now is 79 Trump 80 Clinton. How sad you won't talk about why you would vote for someone.

THIS!!!! It's been election after election where the candidates just get worse and worse! There hasn't been any stand out candidate for me since I started voting.
And to answer the pole, I answered Hillary. I'm not 100% decided on Sanders but ANYTHING to keep Trump out of office!! Voting for a 3rd party candidate will just sway the votes in the Republican favor.

Re: Spinoff #2: If you had to vote
WOW. Having been on these boards for many years and knowing where the majority leans - the results of this poll are REALLY surprising and REALLY telling. Wow.
That said, I didn't vote in the poll because both scare me a bit but for very very different reasons lol....if it comes down to it I will cross that bridge when I come to it!
