SPinoff-Can I see some homemade baby food recipes?
I know there are books on it, but I just want to see a few recipes to see if it's possible for me to do this. Could you please share some recipes to see if I want to pursue this? TIA!!!

well theres really no recipes to the basics.
You take the vegetable, steam it and puree it.
Like for example..carrots....I use baby carrots...I steam them over water and puree them in the food processor...freeze after.
Same for apples, pears, etc etc.

Now I realize I am more stupid that I thought.
Maybe I should keep on breastfeeding. I know what to do with that.
If it's that simple, why doesn't everybody do it? Aren't the packaged ones so much more expensive?

it is really that easy. Here's a site with some recipes for different stages.
recipes
I generally stuck to one fruit/veggie per cube, and would combine them when feeding rather than when cooking them.

I have made a few meals for Jack - carrots, sweet potatoes, peas, squash, --- he would not eat one bite. I was so frustrated I could cry.
He gobbles up the babyfood otherwise. It just got too frustrating for me that I said forget it.
And yes - the jars are just sooooo easy.

I make DD pear with cinnamon and rasins. I steam everything together and then puree it. She loves it (Beechnut makes it but it has oatmeal in it).
