Spinoff: Jude Law
So i was listening to the radio this morning and people were talking about the Jude Law cheating thing. One thing was brought up was that after seeing a pic of what the "nanny" looked like... People were wondering why would any woman hire a stunning woman to be the nanny in her home.
What do you think? Would you have hired a nanny that is drop dead gorgeous?

Re: Spinoff: Jude Law
hells no, that's definitely bringing temptation to your home. Although I know my husband wouldn't take the bait. but that made me think that maybe the ex wife hired her on purpose to get back at him and the other girl.

I don't understand where this nanny lived? Or who hired her? Wasn't he divorced from his childrens' mother?

Re: Spinoff: Jude Law
Well personally I wouldn't seek out to hire a nanny based on her looks in the first place.. old or young, attractive or not, it makes no difference.. I would hire her based on her qualifications and how well she took care of my children...
What would be the point of hiring an OLDER, unattractive nanny who did not share your ideas on parenting, your children could not relate to her at all.. BUT hey, at least she is no threat to my marriage and my husband will not stray??
So I guess I MUST be the strange one here.. I would hope that most of us could trust our husband(s) enough that even IF you wound up hiring an attractive nanny, he would have enough sense to keep it in his pants

From what I am getting out of the story, the nanny was hired by the ex-wife.. but I guess she travelled with the children to visit Jude while he was away filiming movies...
supposedly their 'affair' started in New Orleans when she was there visiting him with his kids.. but it was the ex-wife who fired her after finding out about the affair, so I guess she worked primarily out of the ex's home..

I would also hire someone based on their qualifications. The way I see it is IF your husband is going to cheat, he is going to do it anywhere.

I agree
AND I'm not arguing the point the rest of you are making.. I certainly would not seek to hire a "hot" nanny .. just having her around probably would make ME self-concious...and I'm sure there are just as many normal looking nanny's out there that I would not HAVE to hire a cute girl ...
However I still trust my DH enough to know that if that was the right person for us, he could control himself and not give in to any 'temptation' ... i mean if I trust him enough to go out with the boys and not hook up with a hot girl at a bar, shouldn't I trust him enough to not hook up with the hot nanny??

Re: Spinoff: Jude Law
ok...my thoughts.
first of all, it should be said that DH and i have a very trusting relationship.
with that said, i still dont know if id want to hire a "hot" nanny. realistically, as human beings, we cant help but have feelings. it also pretty much human nature to develop some type of "feeling" in whatever sense that is, for someone attractive, and also "feelings" for someone who is caring for your children/you.
i highly doubt my DH would hire an attractive bodyguard to be with me and protect me (if the circumstances called for that)...because anyone would develop some type of attachment/attraction to that person.
i dont think that everyone would carry those feelings out, but it would be present no matter how much the person can be trusted, IMO.
i personally think that no matter how much a SO can be trusted, finding someone else who may be considered physically attractive + emotionally attractive is a dangerous mix. i'd stick with someone "safe" on all aspects and id expect DH to do the same with me.
i dont know if i explained that right. but it makes sense in my head!

On the note of the affair...the way I see it, Sienna had it coming to her.......Jude cheated with her while he was married. Once a cheater, always a cheater.

I didn't know he cheated on his first wife with Sienna until now. Did she seriously think he was going to be faithful to HER?!?!

Me either... I actually thought his marriage was over well before he took up w/Sienna BUT what do we know, huh?
In which case - YES I agree that I really don't have much pity for Sienna either... if she was the 'other woman' before, then karma is a beatch, isn't it
