Spinoff off on Knitting or crocheting..
Can someone explain the difference and how did you guys learn.

I'm not an expert, and i'm sure there are more differences, but here's what I've observed so far:
Knitting uses two or more needles, and both hands to knit.
Crocheting uses one needle, one hand holds the piece and the other does the bulk of the work, and crochet needles have a hook at the end.
ETA: I learned from my boss and my old roomate.

baghag has it right: 2 needles vs. 1 hook. both work with looping.
