Juliette Lewis and the Licks In my defense, it was New Years, we were out, and she just happened to be the headliner, so it's not like we even saw the show on purpose!

My parents saw Meatloaf at MSG last year and said he was pretty bad too.

I saw Suicidal Tendencies at a really small venue and there was a mosh pit and I was somehow caught in the middle of a bunch of large men trying to kill each other until my then boyfriend fished me out and yelled at me for going in there... like I did it on purpose. I was rattled and the people yelling and WHOOTING were practically as loud as the band. That wasn't good.

I was on the floor to see Pat Benatar play at UB with my freshman roommate who was a crazy fan. I had some dude who stunk to the high heavens pressed up against me for the majority of the time. He kept pushing into me with his arms raised and I swear it smelled like he had dipped himself in a vat of alcohol and old onions before laying out in the sun for a week. Then he got dressed and came to the concert to stand behind me.

Note taht neither experience was about the music... just the EXPERIENCES..

I saw Blues Traveler when I was in college and it was horrible. All of us left half way through. It did't even sound like them.

Beck at Jones Beach. It was freezing cold and he was not into it at all.

Ooooh, a toss up between The Shins and PJ Harvey. I like them both but they're SO boring live.

Warped Tour on Randall's Island during a wind/dust storm. I was sneezing out dirt for a week.

Poison - they were awful live!!! Although Tesla opend up for them and theywere awesome!

The 80s were such a funny time, I kinda miss hair bands and rocker ballads

I had been a HUGE Motley Crue fan back in the day............when I got tickets to see them at Jones Beach a few years ago I was so psyched!!!!!!

We left because I was just horrified!!

DH maybe wanted to stay only for the amount of boobies all over the stage!!!!!!!!!!!


ETA that I did not leave BECAUSE of the boobies, they sounded awful

I hate saying this b/c I still like them, but Smashing Pumpkins when they did lollapalooza in the 90s. Billy Corgan got pis$ed at someone in the audience b/c he threw something or said something (I forgot exactly). Corgan then continued to berate the audience telling us all F you, that he disliked us and how he hates MTV (which was kind of funny b/c they were in the height of making a lot of music videos).

Meatloaf a few years ago at PNC. He clearly wasn't feeling well, and had just really aged. The songs dragged on and on and his vocals were off. Cyndi Lauper opened for him, and she was awesome!

I'd have to say the Tom Petty concert I went to in the mid west. Not so much him but MC Hammer opened! A close 2nd would be one of the Z100 jingleballs. I forgot which year but it was delayed for so long and after a few bands that was it for me.

my parents said the worst they ever went to was the rolling stones - they sounded awful, they were so drunk that they couldn't perform - not good. i was not there but it sounded really crappy lol lol.

hmm - i've never really seen anyone that wasn't talented or anything ... and i've never seen anyone perform really out of it on drugs or drunk ... it is usually the opening acts that are pretty awful - i have to say, kid rock was TERRIBLE when he opened for aerosmith - i mean, BAD and after him was Run DMC and then came Aerosmith - well, Kid Rock had (during his show) a big, HUGE, confederate flag unveiled -- i have never been so offended, disgusted and at the same time uncomfortable in my LIFE - there were quite a few black people in the audience - and i just looked around at them and remember feeling SO bad for them... it was horrible.

one time - we saw clint black and wynonna judd - they were fantastic but only 40 minutes into the show all the power went out b/c of a storm that was brewing -- and they couldn't get power back on so clint tried to sing in the dark but there wasn't much he could do and we all had to leave esp when the lightning started (b/c it was at jones) so we left and never got refunded or anything.

I won the tickets from some LI radio station in the parking lot of Tanger cause I knew how to yodel.

The concert was HORRIBLE!!!

She introduced every song with:

"This song is for my friend who died suddenly"

"This song is for my friend who commited suicide."

"This song is for my friend who recently died from AIDS"

Real uplifting.

counting crows singer was just so depressing. we walk out. live opend up for them and they were amazing!!!

The Allman Brothers....I got the tix for free from my job for DH & it was horrible....of course I'm a country girl!

I pretty much never went to a bad concert! Unless you count Woodstock 99 - my friend and I went soley to see DMB and Metallica. We ended up leaving Sunday morning (ended Sunday night) because we were literally COOKING in heat. I mean COOKING. We were both taken to the infirmary where they covered us in towels and sprayed the hoses over us. That was not fun.
We both took hour long showers when we got back to her parents house and we were still dirty. There were black pebbles in my ears and nose for weeks.

I was front row with my friends. Then the stage was rushed. My friend got pinned against the barrier around the stage and couldn't breathe. Then another friend caught one of their hair 'extensions' as it fell off one of the guys. Another girl punched her in the face and took the extension from her.

I remember going home that night and my parents asking how it was. I told them it was awful. I felt so bad because my dad busted his butt to get the front row tickets.
