Spinoff to baby-doll shirts/dresses
So I went to a bridal shower on Saturday, and I wore capris and a long baby-doll top. It had ties on the side and I wore them very loose. I went to the dentist in the morning and just wore my outfit there, and the receptionist asked me if I was pregnant. At first I was like, , but then she told me just because of the cut of the shirt and I'm a newlywed, blah, blah, blah...
So I wore the shirt and felt fine since another girl wore a baby-doll dress. I came home and told my BIL's GF about the dentist, and she said that she took a double take when she first saw me, but knew I wasn't PG, so she assumed it was just the shirt. My FIL said that he saw a bunch of girls on American Idol wearing the same type of tops and they all look like I do.
So I know its a normal thing to look PG if you are not stick-like. But does that mean that I can't wear the shirt again? What would you do? Would you wear it anyways? I'm thinking of just not wearing it at family events

Re: Spinoff to baby-doll shirts/dresses
I go back and forth on these....I love them, but I am struggling with what people are thinking when I wear them. I am going to be 31, and married for almost 3 years....We do not have any kids at the moment, and I am not getting preggo in the immediate future.
I think they are so cute, and they are all over the stores. I know this is kind of silly, but I have worn them 2x to work events, and since I was drinking, I assume people know I am not preggo
I would wear the shirt again.

I wear them even though I definitely look PG. I like not having material cling around my midsection.

I know I look PG in them but I don't really care. I can't stand having shirts cling to my stomach area (it is my problem area).
I would not worry about what others say. It is fashion! You will always get questions no matter what you wear just based on the fact that you are a newlywed!
