Spinoff to babysitter taking DC in the pool

my SIL watches my DS and has a pool and would like to take him in it the summer. Even though i totally trust her, i dont know how i feel about that. I know she will be hurt and make a big deal if i tell her not to though. but honestly,. i just dont feel comfortable with it right now. Do you think its different when family wants to take them in the water when your not there vs a babysitter? Also she is not CPR certified

Any family pool freaks me out. But I was a lifeguard and swim instructor for 15 years, so I can't relax at pools in homes. Any pool parties I end up watching the water ALL the time. I would not be comfy with anybody going into the pool without a lifeguard, but VERY against it if it were my child.

I have no problem with my family taking Ava in the pool.

Since no one but DH and I take care of DD it's hard to say how I feel because one of us is always around her but I think I would be ok with family in a private pool (meaning there wouldn't be tons of other kids running around)
