Spinoff to cleaning lady post
If you ladies don't mind, can you give me a general idea of what you have the cleaning person do? How often, and how much you pay? (You can fm me if you don't want to post)
Also, are you home when they come? What do you do while the house is being cleaned if you are home?

$100 every two weeks. She stays as long as it takes- never less than 3 hours. She does it all except windows- kitchen, bathroom, vacuuming, dusting etc. The house really sparkles when she is done and just smells like a hotel room.
I used to run in and out while she was here, but am now back at work. The first time I hung out upstairs while she was down stairs then switched.
IMO, it's totally worth it!

I pay $65...She does the following rooms:
Living Room
Kitchen
Two Bathrooms
Two Bedrooms
Playroom
Office
She deep cleans the bathrooms, kitchen and living room. She dusts, mops and vacuums the other rooms. If I leave sheets out, she'll put them on the beds. Occasionally she cleans the inside of the fridge (just a surface clean).
Doesn't include my bedroom, basement, laundry dishes.
I supply all the cleansers...
I stay home when she's there...I stay in my bedroom with the two kids (I bring toys in) and my bedroom is quite large, so there's enough room. There are two cleaners, so it's done in about 1 1/2 hours...

I can't remember exactly what we pay (DH pays them monthly). It's somewhere around $60 a week.
2 bathrooms, 2 bedrooms, kitchen, living room, dining room....
The do windows, floors, vacuum, furniture, tv, will fold laundry occasionally if I leave it out. Will do any dishes left in the sick, which I have told them they don't have to do.
I supply all cleaning supplies (including sponges and paper towels). It's 2 women and they usually take about 2.5 hours. I either hang around in an opposite room or leave once they get here. We are actually pretty happy with them.

I am a SAHM - I have only been so for 3 months. Before that I worked three days a week. During my PG with DS I was on bed rest so we got a cleaning lady. She used to come every two weeks. Now that I am home she comes every three weeks. She does my deep cleaning - bathroom showers, tubs, all counters, all floors, dusts, cleans the inside of the stove, and does my heavy duty cleaning. We pay $65 - she is here for about 4 hours each time.
