Spinoff to coloring eggs....
what is the BEST dye product out there to color eggs?? the PAAS sets are never bright enough, and always leave the eggs looking a little pale, no matter how long we leave them soaking in the dye.
TIA

Re: Spinoff to coloring eggs....
My family has always made our own. Much more vibrant than the store bought sets since you can add as much food coloring as you want. But it's smellier since you use vinegar. And we use regular crayons since we don't have those clear PAAS ones. And you can remove them with a slotted spoon and put them back in the egg carton to dry.
Homemade egg coloring dye * 2/3 cup water (we always use boiling water to make it and then color when it's cooled) * 2 teaspoons distilled vinegar * approx. 1/8 teaspoon food coloring (really as much or as little as you like)

Instead of using food dye, try using the wilton food coloring gel. Its concentrated so you can add as much as you want and get that vibrant color HTH
