spinoff to cutting the amt of bottles question

When does DC start eating more and having less formula, I was reading headoverheels' post and was wondering this since DD just started solids and was wondering when more of her meals would really become meals and when she would get bottles..it's all very confusing...LOL

I wouldn't worry about it, your baby will dictate schedule when the time is right.

My PED doesn't start solids prior to 6 months old and even when solids are started he insisted they are not a replacement for formula, they are for practice...up to 1 year baby gets majority of nutrients from formula and not to stress about it.

But my kids def set their own eating habits. and fell into their own patterns. I don't think there's a right or wrong way to do it

I woudn't be worried about it either. DS is 6 months and even with me giving him cereal now during the day, he has not cut down on the amount of formula he drinks. He has a bottle every 3 hours and I don't see him cutting out a bottle anytime soon, he loves to eat
