not always a wise thing...
a friend's boss loves her little scottie... he's a real cutie... a gem of a dog... she brings him to work and he is pretty well behaved...
BUT, dogs being dogs, he saw this piece of cardboard on the floor and started playing with it... it was one of those sticky rodent traps... first his paws got stuck... then his snout!
poor little guy was traumatized... I don't recall how they got him free of that thing, but it was rather stressful 
doggies don't belong in places that aren't doggie-proofed!

We're actually taking that day off, so no!
But even if we were working I wouldn't bring Kasey in. I mean, there's just nothing here for her. It's not like bringing your children to work so they can see and learn what you do all day.
Besides, I work with medical supplies. Would you feel comfortable the next time you or your child went to the doctor and their equipment had been around an animal?

Won't be bringing my dog into school.
BUT when I did work at Skydive Long Island (my hubby still does) we'd bring in our dogs all the time! There are plenty of DZ (Dropzone) Dogs there and its DEF a great life for them!

I've brought Daisy into work, but I ask my co-workers around me first, and I bring her in for 1/2 day after lunch. She basically just sits on the corner of my desk and watches the door, and wags her tail when someone comes in. She loves my boss and my other office mate, and she plays fetch with our graduate students who dole out so much attention to her.
They even all got her xmas gifts/toys for her to have at the office when she comes in, so she's not bored.

Scout goes to work with me EVERY day.
And Ebony used to go with me when I worked in an office. 3 people, all dog lovers, so it wasn't a problem. He had had a bad case of bloat and after that had to be fed small meals often, so the easiest for all was for him to come to work with me!

My sister used to work in a daycare and the owner would bring her dogs in and let them run around. They were small dogs, but I would've called social services on her if my kids were in there. Just not appropriate.

Katie came to work one time after everyone left, I had to run back to get something. She would get into too much trouble here. The owners have there dog here though.

Excuse me - maybe for you and your place of employment, but not for everyone.
When Ebony used to come to work with me, my coworkers fought a lot less - basically because he would get scared when they started yelling and go hide under my desk. They would feel bad about upsetting him and stop yelling. So there are some benefits.

at my last job i brought char in b/c we were having our wood floors sanded and finished and the guy told me the chemicals are not good for animals to be around at all. i was going to get a sitter for her or bring her to my mom's but when i said that to my boss he insisted on me bringing her in - she sat by my feet right next to me at my desk on the floor - i had her little bed - she slept most of the day - she would sit up and wag her tail to be pet when co-workers walked by. she was the hit of the office - so much so that they asked me to bring her in again after that lol.
i was like ok! charlotte has some fans!
