Spinoff to dressing up for shows.....What "old school" things should come back?
I was just talking about how no one cares about much anymore....
What things have become obsolete to you now?
Holding doors Saying please and thank you Respect for elders, women, anyone for that matter!!!!! Children listening to their elders Getting dressed up for shows, church, and holidays
Please add
It seems a little sad that these old "traditions" have gone by the wayside....

I agree with all of the above, and I'd like to add when you enjoy a party to send a thank you to the hostess. I still do this and I think it is a nice gesture for someone who put a lot of effort into entertaining.
Being able to eat at a restaurant without worrying about getting a disease

I never even heard the word "play date" until I worked at a theatre camp on the upper west side. i thought ti was the mose pretentious thing. Now it's the norm. It used to be playing outside. or "mom can Diane come over on Friday after school?" Now it's a huge deal

I actually don't think the things you listed are "old school" at all, I think they're just a part of values that should be taught in today's families and aren't always. The world has become a lot ruder and harsher.

I guess I just consider it old school because it is rare that these things happen anymore....
