Spinoff to Eating
Since a few people commented that they waited to late to introduce real solids I'm curious when did you introduce whole foods and how?

Re: Spinoff to Eating
I started giving her cheerios and puffs around 7 months I think and she did great with them so I just slowly started giving her stuff I was eating, little bits of chicken, turkey meatloaf, fruit, etc... Now she is almost 10 months and eats tons of stuff but I usually give her baby food first and then finger foods after just so I know she is getting enough fruits/veggies, etc. sorry for the ramble

Re: Spinoff to Eating
8 months with Joseph I started trying mashed food. I didn't really push until 10 months (way too late IMO).

7 months isn't too late, it's a perfect time to start puffs and cheerios, I started out breaking them in half, that only lasted about a week until I gave her the whole thing.

Re: Spinoff to Eating
I gave Noah rice cakes and cucumbers when he was around 5.5 months old, he liked to chew on them and play with them

Re: Spinoff to Eating
My doctor really freaked us out about choking risks and told us there was no reason to start any type of table food until 9 months. We started puffs and cherrios around 8.5 months - very slowly. We didn't do much other stuff until around 11 months besides maybe bots of cheese or bagels or teething cookies (big things for teething).
