In light of Hillary Clinton's announcement, who do you think our country is more likely to elect for president first: a female candidate or a minority candidate?
Do you think either will happen in our lifetime?

I think we'll see a woman first. Even if there are great minority hopefuls.

I say a minority will happen first.
In my wildest and best political fantasy, both parties put up minority females to run against each other and then all those who think neither are qualified SOLELY on the basis of gender or skin color are SOL.

Haha...that would be so wonderful!! One can dream...
ETA: Because race/gender alone isn't an "in" or "out"...I would never vote for Condoleeza Rice, for example.

As much as I would like to see a woman in the oval office, I think that a minority will get it first.
Also, I just hope our next President is smart, qualified, compassionate and plays well with others.
